Media Camping Center Customer Care Review
I agree this co sucks. I'm ashamed it's my local camping shop. I'll never do business with these rude and cheating ***. The main guy there is an {{Redacted}} and thief. Just look at their pricing and you get the vibes these people are no good. Stay away. I'll drive to camping world in NJ any day rather than support them.

From the inside looking out
Trust me this company screws you in every way possible. From cheaping you on your warranty when you buy new(if they have a new unit) because they dont want to submit the sales tax until they have too, to lying about their used inventory. there are units on their lot that literally have water damage covered up and many cases where motor homes needed thousands in work after the sale to pass inspection. Yes the sales people for the most part are amazing the techs are amazing but they all have to see the atrocities that go on in the management of the company. Ive seen them postpone the registration and warranty by offering customers a second temporary tag. With so many true dealers around dont go there.

Won't Refund Money
Would highly recommend to stay away from this company. We put a $500 deposit down on a camper and decided to "think it over" over the weekend. After looking at other campers, we decided to not go with this camper. They will not reimburse us our deposit! They are saying that we have to return campground brochures with buy one get one free coupons in them that I threw away because we didn't get our camper there. They will not give us our money back and this was NEVER mentioned at the time of us giving them our credit card information. They are thieves!Stay away from this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awning is installed. I had an issue with the end caps not facing the right way during the install so I went back to Media RV on w Baltimore Pike in Media PA. When I called I asked how much it would be for them to finish the install. He asked if I already had the channel attached to the bus, I told him yes, he said 100 to 150. The manufacturer's instructions said the install time was two(2) hours. I figured 1.5 hours at 85 per hour was right in between 100 and 150. When I showed up to pick the bus up after two phone calls to see if it was done I was given a bill of 360.48. When I questioned the amount he got nasty about it. Over 4 hours to drill 8 holes and attach the brackets is an awfully long time. I would not recommend this place to anyone, I think they are dishonest and hacks to boot.

Not truthfull after the sale
Service at Media Camping Center has not been the best on our motor home which we purchased new in May of 2007. The amount of issues that needed to be corrected after delivery was unacceptable. The few times we took it back for repairs, a 190 mile round trip, there was always issues with the repairs. We decided not to let them fix anything on the coach. I could not recommend them from a service standpoint. The latest go around comes from trading the Fleetwood motor home in vs dealing with all the issues on it, and trying to cancel the extended service contract we had purchased from Media. We started the process in the beginning of October by submitting the paper work Media required to figure out the pro rated refund amount. At that time we were told it would take 6 weeks to receive a check for the refund amount. As of today 01/07/2011 we have still not received the refund check. After several calls to Media, messages are never returned, we managed to talk to Media and was assured, the check is in the mail and we should receive it before the new year. I will continue to attempt to call them on a weekly basis, but my feelings are it is just a waste of my time. When the State Government gets settled down with the new administration, if I have not gotten satisfaction I'll file a formal complaint with the Attorney Generals office.

Media Camping does not stand by their repairs.
Media camping sold me a pop-up trailer. Jeff Page, the sales guy, was my bestest buddy. A few years later a windstorm blew a 2" stick directly through the hard top. It penetrated the outer layer, but not the inside ceiling. I could have caulked it myself, but thought I'd take it to the "experts" at Media camping for repair. Looked good when done, and I didn't think more of it. Until the next spring. Trailer had been covered with two covers over the winter - one breathable, one a waterproof tarp. Water got under the tarp, and the patch leaked all winter. Come our first trip, we discovered a LOT of moisture damage inside. My good friend Jeff, after seeing the trailer and discussing with management, decided that Media Camping had absolutely no liability. "Hey, when you get your car tuned up, it isn't guaranteed, is it?" Nice analogy, Jeff. This was a structural repair. Needless to say, Media will never see me again. They do not stand by their work.

Total lack of respect for customers
I called Media Camping Center in Media PA to inquire about bringing my newly-purchased travel trailer in for routine service. I asked them for an inspection, repack the wheel bearings, and pressure test the water lines for leaks (as the camper was not winterized and I wasn't sure if the lines had developed leaks from the winter freeze). They scheduled my appointment for Tuesday, 5/4. We dropped it off the weekend prior so they would have it at the start of the day on Tuesday. After a couple of calls to them inquiring about the status, I was told that they hadn't completed all of the items yet, but it would be ready for my pickup on Saturday 5/15 (my family and I have our first camp trip of the season next weekend). After several more calls, they promised to confirm with the service department (?) and return my call confirming that the work had been done. That never happened. After informing them twice that I'd be in to pickup my camper on Saturday 5/15 (they never said it would be a problem), when I called to let them know I'd be coming, the woman owner said that they hadn't even started on the service yet. When I asked why the misinformation from what I had been told on two priort calls to her information, she was rude and said that I never had an "appointment" and that all they allowed me to do was to bring the camper in so it could be there when they got to it. I've never heard of a respectable business confirming a service appointment for a specific date, and then acknowledging that the date wasnt' actually the date they intended to perform the service? But most aggravating of all...in addition to the two round trips to drop off and pickup, plus the wasted time taht the camper could have been serviced at another dealer, was the woman's rudeness...no apologies, no offer to get it in on Monday, or anything that resembled customer service. I'm not a complainer, but please, just don't lie. Either confirm that the service won't be performed on the date you said, or let your customers know that just because you give them a drop-off date, doesn't mean that the service will be performed close to that date.....even two weeks later. Please do yourself a favor, and avoid these people. Either complete chaos and disorganization (look at the inside of their office), or simply complete lack of respect for their customers.....either way, a complete waste of your time. There are other dealers in the area who are much more professional and customer-focused (Stolzfus RV & Marine in West Chester to name one....even though we didn't buy our camper from them, they been pleasant, courteous, and professional). I got a funny feeling that they either lied about it being ready, or they were incompetent. Apparently, both. When I called this morning to tell them that I'd be by to pick it up before they closed, the woman who answered the phone was rude. She said it wasn't done, and that the appointment for 5/4 wasn't to do the service, but rather just to drop it off. They would get to the camper on a first-come, first-served basis.

Trailer damage due to Media Camping Center.
Dealer hooked the utility trailer to my truck and sent me on my way. They failed to lift the stabilizer jacks and place them in the tow position. Jacks were destroyed. I wanted the owner to exchange the trailer but he would not. He had an employee burn the jacks off and weld new ones on. When I returned home which is 8 hours away. I noticed the jacks were welded on incorrectly. Also a bearing cap had came off. I contacted RPM Toyhauler to purchase two new jacks and bearings. They forward my letter to MCC and the owner called me. He wanted to holler at me laugh at the letter I had sent. He said the company will not give you the items. I told him I wanted to buy them. He continued to holler at me until I just hung up the phone. MCC wants your money and as soon as they get it you are forgot about. MCC was the cause of my trailer damage and now I have to pay to a welder to fix their below standard repairs.

Appears to me that this review was written by a disgruntled former employee who knows a lot about registration and sales tax issues. Also makes reference that employees are great but all the problems are due to management. Hmmm, sounds suspiciously like revenge posting.
